Tolkien Reading Day

Tolkien Reading Day is celebrated annually on March 25th, and it was started by the Tolkien Society, a UK-based organization dedicated to promoting the life and works of J.R.R. Tolkien. The date was chosen because it marks the fall of Sauron and the destruction of the One Ring in Tolkien’s fictional universe. The Tolkien Society launched this day in 2003 to encourage fans to celebrate and appreciate the works of J.R.R. Tolkien by reading his books.
