World Hemophilia Day

World Hemophilia Day was first observed on April 17, 1989, to mark the birthday of Frank Schnabel, the founder of the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH). WFH is an international non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of people with hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders. The day was established to raise awareness about hemophilia and related bleeding disorders and to advocate for better care and treatment options for those affected.

World Hemophilia Day is an annual global event that aims to increase public understanding of hemophilia, a genetic bleeding disorder that affects the blood’s ability to clot. People with hemophilia experience prolonged bleeding after injury, surgery, or spontaneous bleeding episodes, which can lead to severe joint damage, disability, or even death if not properly managed.

Each year, World Hemophilia Day has a specific theme to focus on a particular aspect of bleeding disorders or to advocate for a specific cause. Activities and events organized to mark the day include:
1. Awareness campaigns: Organizations and individuals use social media platforms, local media, and community events to raise awareness about hemophilia and related bleeding disorders, as well as the challenges faced by those affected.
2. Educational events: Workshops, seminars, and conferences may be organized to educate the public, medical professionals, and policymakers about the importance of early diagnosis, proper management, and comprehensive care for people with bleeding disorders.
3. Fundraising events: Various fundraising events such as charity runs, walks, or auctions may be held to raise funds for research, treatment, and support services for people with hemophilia and their families.
4. Advocacy initiatives: Advocacy efforts may focus on urging governments and healthcare systems to provide better access to care, treatment options, and support services for people with bleeding disorders.

World Hemophilia Day serves as an opportunity for the global bleeding disorders community to come together, share their stories, and work towards a better future for people with hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders.

Hidden Object Games

Join us this World Hemophilia Day as we present a Hidden Object Game designed to create awareness about hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. Celebrated on April 17 each year, World Hemophilia Day aims to increase understanding and support for those living with these conditions.

In our game, we take you on a journey through a research lab, a hospital, a patient’s home, and more. Each setting is filled with objects that relate to hemophilia and its management, such as clotting factor concentrates, infusion kits, a blood drop, a first-aid kit, and many more.

Through this game, we aim not only to entertain but also to educate about hemophilia, its symptoms, its treatments, and the daily experiences of those affected by it. Let’s play, learn, and stand together in support of the global hemophilia community!
