World Television Day – This day was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1996 to recognize the impact of television on our lives and its role in shaping public opinion and world affairs.

World Hello Day – This is an annual event created to encourage people to greet each other and promote world peace. The idea is that a simple “hello” can make a difference in our interactions with others and help us see that we all share a common humanity.

National Adoption Day (US) – This day is observed on the Saturday before Thanksgiving in the US, and it is a day to raise awareness about the thousands of children in foster care who are waiting for permanent homes.

World Philosophy Day – This day is celebrated by UNESCO on the third Thursday of November each year to promote the importance of philosophical reflection and critical thinking in addressing the challenges of our time.

Alascattalo Day (US) – This is a humorous holiday created to celebrate the unique culture and history of Alaska, often featuring events and activities that poke fun at the state’s quirky and sometimes absurd aspects.

National Red Mitten Day (Canada) – This day is observed in Canada to support Canadian athletes competing in the Olympics and Paralympics. It encourages Canadians to show their support by wearing red mittens and buying official merchandise to help fund the athletes’ training and competition expenses.
